EVENT OVERVIEW
PURPOSE & CHAMPIONSHIP SCOPE
The Startup Sprint Challenge is a 16-hour hackathon-style entrepreneurship event where participants build a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for a startup idea based on a theme released by E-Cell.
Participants will:
- Pick the official theme
- Identify a real-world problem
- Design and develop an MVP (working demo / functional flow / clickable product)
- Build a strong business model
- Create a professional pitch deck
- Pitch their startup idea to a judging panel
This event evaluates innovation, execution speed, product thinking, business strategy, teamwork, and pitching skills in a high-pressure, real-startup environment.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- 01The registration form will be released 15 days before the event, along with the problem statement.
- 02Teams will submit an initial PPT (idea + approach).
- 03The top 25 teams will be shortlisted 2 days before the event and invited to the on-campus hackathon.
- 04Each team must consist of 3 to 5 members.

RULES AND GUIDELINES
Theme Rule
Teams must build a startup strictly based on the theme provided by E-Cell. Any idea outside the theme is not accepted.
Team Rules
Teams should have 3-5 members. One final submission per team.
Work Rules
All work must be created within the event duration. Internet usage is allowed. External templates are permitted, but they must be significantly edited.
Prototype Rules
Minimum 3 screens/pages required. Must clearly show user flow.
Pitch Rules
5-minute pitch + 2-minute Q&A. Must use the required slide structure.
Disqualification
- Plagiarized startup ideas
- Using pre-made prototypes/pitch decks
- Working outside the theme
- Misconduct or rule violation.
